Pre-Employment (Pre-ETS) Student Ages 14-21

MARC members have partnered with the NC Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) to deliver Pre-ETS services to local high school students with disabilities.

This program aims to increase vocational skills, develop clear career planning, and improve access to integrated community-based options, aiming for better quality employment outcomes.

The Pre-ETS Program lessons will focus on the following:

  • Job Exploration
  • Work-based Learning Experiences
  • Self-Advocacy Training
  • Workplace Readiness Training
  • Counseling on Postsecondary Education and Training Options

Some of the exciting things students may do during the Pre-ETS program include participating in small group lessons, larger group discussions, job shadowing opportunities, tours of post-secondary education options (virtual and/or in person), visiting local businesses, hearing from various guest speakers, and exploring career interests and options.

All lessons are free to families and school districts. Lessons are delivered during the school day to approved students aged 14-21 with a documented disability. For more information on Pre-ETS services, please submit our Contact Form for Member Program Services.
